Yup. The Sass had one on her left front foot when we got her - a round red shiny lump about 3/4 of an inch across. Sometimes the vet will check that they are not cancerous (no, don't panic) most of them are not but best to get it checked. Then the vet will remove it surgically, ensuring that all of it has been removed because they can recur. Sass had hers removed two years ago and has never come back. She has a wee black scar, that's all. The surgery is no biggie, but you have to make sure that he does not lick it or scratch it (good luck with that one)! He will probably have to wear a cone if it is in an area where he can reach.

Have not had one on my pug, but had one on my boxer years ago. JanandSass is right. I would have it taken off. And have it tested. Let us know how it goes.

Our boxer, Tiffany, got them, too! We had several removed but none of them were cancerous - Thank God! She was a sweet girl who thought she was the size of a pug. Always wanted to be a lap dog .. I miss that girl!
